Decoding the diversity of the glycome.

Glycans — the complex carbohydrates that decorate every cell — are the most diverse class of biomolecules. They mediate immunity, neural communication, infection and cancer, yet their language remains the least understood of the major biopolymers.

Led by Distinguished Professor Nicki Packer, our group has spent two decades building the analytical, computational and biological tools needed to read this code at scale — and to translate what we learn into health.
